单从预览之中就能捕捉到一些Coddington珍贵的生活片段,比如她早期做模特谋生的事迹:“我给杂志和报纸当编辑每天只能赚到2英镑,而做广告模特的报酬是5英镑(虽然坦白说我能不到接到太多广告)。”再比如她用可爱的口气叙述她少女的春心萌动:“我对 [David] Bailey有一点动心。那时他刚刚跟名模Jean Shrimpton分手。但有一‘后宫’的漂亮女孩供他挑选,而且他还是个出了名的浪荡子。”还有一段她与另一位英国超模的小摩擦:“我的拿手好戏是超宽的眼线,为的是让眼窝上的折痕更加突出,然后在眼睛下发画上超长的蜘蛛腿儿一般的眼线,有点像娃娃的睫毛,最后在眼角内侧抹上一点——我说不好为什么要这样,但就是很好看很‘now’。后来我发现我那令人疯狂的新眼妆造型被人叫做‘twiglets’,还被算到年轻的英国模特Twiggy的名下。真是的,它可是我发明的,我这么做的时候她还没出生呢!”这就是犀利又可爱我们所,呃...“熟识”的Coddington。
